This photoelectric encoder (motor wheel encoder) is a device that converts the motion or position of a motor wheel into a series of digital signals. These signals can then be processed and interpreted by a computer or other digital device to measure aspects of the wheel's movement, such as speed, direction, or distance travelled.

There is an option of buying this product with 2 wheels (see last photo)

Features

  • Two ports that can connect to two wheels
  • Three 20cm male-to-male cables
  • An imported groove coupler sensor
  • Fixed bolt holes for easy installation
  • LM393 wide voltage comparator
  • It has an output state light:
    • If the output is at a high level, the lights are off
    • If the output is at a low level, the lights are on
  • If the encoder is covered, it will output at a high level. Otherwise, its output is at a low level.
  • Good signal and waveform: a strong driving ability for more than 15mA
  • The module can be connected to a relay (consisting of limit switches and other functions)
    • It can also be connected with an active buzzer module (alarm)

Specification

  • Slot Width: 5mm
  • Operating Voltage: 3.3V-5V
  • Output Format: Digital switching output (0 and 1)
  • Size of the Small PCB: 3.2cm x 1.4cm
